Stefania Scapin is an Italian harpist. She graduated with full marks, distinction and honours in Harp Solo Performance with Maestro Tassini at the Conservatoire of Music in Udine. She studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London and at the University of Music in Vienna. She honed her skills with several international harpists, including Fabrice Pierre and Karen Vaughan. She made her debut in Budapest with the International Young Soloists’ Orchestra and has since performed as a soloist in several different music festivals and halls, such as Festival dei due Mondi in Spoleto, the Belvedere Museum and Konzerthaus in Vienna, Regent Hall in London, Musicainsieme, Strings City, the Uffizi Museum in Florence, and Musica a Villa Durio e Armonie della Magna Graecia.
Since 2012, Stefania she has performed in a variety of chamber music ensembles, from the Royal Academy of Music Harp Ensemble, the De Angelis
Ensemble and the Ventaglio d’Arpe Orchestra. She performed the role of Principal Harpist in the Italian Youth Symphonic Conservatories' Orchestra, the Mitteleuropa Orchestra, and the IYSO Orchestra.
Stefania has also won a series of harp competitions: Premio delle Arti 2018, the Abbado Prize Competition 2015 and the Città di Treviso International Music Competition. She is part of Associazione Musica con le Ali, which is supporting her discographic project with the first flute player of Teatro la Scala, Andrea Manco. She has got also a degree in Psychology.
