The Performers



Francesco Dominici Buraccini was 7 years old when he began to play the guitar. In 2014, he graduated from the Santa Cecilia Conservatoire in Rome with honours and went on to gain his Master’s degree there under the guidance of Maestro Arturo Tallini. Francesco has been awarded first prize at numerous national and international competitions, including: the Francesco Jalenti Guitar Competition, the Riviera Etrusca Guitar Competition, the G. Rossini Guitar Competition, the II Concorso Internazionale di Chitarra “Alirio Diaz”, the XIX Concorso Nazionale Chitarristico “Giulio Rospigliosi” (category: chamber music), the II Città di Favria Guitar Competition, and the Prix “Campus delle Arti’’. He has performed at festivals, events and venues such as Lions Day in Piazza Farnese, Auditorium Seraphicum and Teatro Comunale Traiano of Civitavecchia.
Born in 1998, Luna Vigni graduated with honours from the Rinaldo Franci Institute of Advanced Music Education in Siena at the age of 17 where she was taught by Maestro Luciano Tristaino. She subsequently trained at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Lugano, the Weggis Flute Academy in Milan, ISA in Vienna, the Chigiana Academy in Siena, the Fiesole School of Music, and the Conservatoire of Italian Switzerland where she is doing a Master’s degree in Specialized Performance (Soloist) after graduating with honours in Musical Performance. Luna is a member of the Italian Youth Orchestra (OGI), the Swiss Youth Orchestra (SJSO), the Ernst & Young Youth Orchestra of Rome and the Jugend Mahler Orchester. She recently performed with the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana (LAC, Lugano), the Orchestra of the University of Milan (Sala Verdi) and as a soloist she opened a Sir James Galway concert with the Orchestra ArteViva in Milan.
Quartetto Eos was founded in Rome in 2016 by Elia Chiesa (violin), Giacomo Del Papa (violin), Alessandro Acqui (viola) and Silvia Ancarani (cello). The young quartet has performed at the Conservatoire of Santa Cecilia in Rome, the Amphitheatre of the Cité de la Musique in Paris, the Ponchielli Theatre in Cremona, the Garibaldi Theatre in Caserta, and at several prestigious music festivals. Awards and accolades to date include the 2018 Farulli Prize, a Special Prize at the 2019 International Anton Rubinstein Competition and a special mention at the National Sergio Dragoni Competition for String Quartets. In addition to being featured on national radio broadcasts Radio3 Suite and La Stanza della Musica, Quartetto Eos has also participated in chamber music masterclasses held by Emil Rovner, Alfred Brendel, Eckart Runge (Quartetto Artemis), Patrick Juedt (ECMA), Lawrence Dutton (Quartetto Emerson) and the Jerusalem Quartet.
